Are you passionate about the health, safety and wellbeing of your community? Join the Arapahoe County Board of Health! We are seeking to fill four upcoming vacancies on the Board, and applications are open NOW. Arapahoe County Public Health is committed to bringing more voices to the table and to ensuring the health department functions shoulder-to-shoulder with diverse individuals and communities at all levels, including in our governing board. What you need to know:
- All candidates must be residents of Arapahoe County.?
- Terms for the new Board members begin on Jan. 1, 2024.
- Applications will be accepted through Oct. 6 at s.zouxigx.net/boh
- Board members are expected to attend at least one monthly meeting, paired with additional emergency and special meetings, as well as encouraged to support Arapahoe County staff at events.
- Those with expertise in public or environmental health, nonprofits, business, medical systems and community engagement are encouraged to apply.
- The board is seeking diverse representation from different demographics, geographic locations across the county and lived experiences.
