Repairs underway on two County roads damaged by flood waters

Portions of two Arapahoe County roads remain closed as Public Works and Development starts repairs caused by last week’s historic rainfall.

The storm, which dropped more than 5 inches of rain from May 11-12, damaged numerous County roadways that had to be closed due high levels of water.

County roads that remain closed due to damage are:

  • CR 30 from CR 137 to CR 149
  • CR42 from CR181 to CR177

Repairs to these roadways are underway, as well as to other roadways that need maintenance and restoration work due to the rain. Motorists are encouraged to use caution in affected areas as crews and equipment are present on roadways.

According to the National Weather Service, the amount of rainfall was the third largest in the metro area during a two-day period.
